We will see in this tutorial how to plug in a solar kit |
The solar kit uses two 7Ah 12V lead-acid batteries.
Before using the engine for the first time, let the batteries charge for at least 24 hours.
Pay close attention to connections. Respect polarity in all circumstances at the risk of damaging the appliance.
Be careful to avoid short circuits. Insolate the wires well when connecting.
Plug two wires into the panel. Locate the + and - threads.
Then plug the solar panel into the MPPT board into the solar kit box respecting the polarity.
Be careful, plug in the batteries according to the supply voltage of your engine.
If it is a 12V engine, the batteries must be plugged in parallel.
If it is a 24V engine, the batteries must be plugged in series.
Today all our engines are in 24V.
The 12V connection applies only to older engines.
This connection will not be discussed in this tutorial.
Cosses of parallel connection 12V opposite.
of the 24V series connection opposite.
Once you have spotted the type of connection, plug the + and - pod wires into the MPPT card.
Plug two wires to the output of the MPPT board.
For sliding engine cards, connect the two "Motor" output wires of the MPPT board to the SOL + SOL + SOL input - respecting the polarity.
For 24V leaf gate engines, the supplied connector must be usedwith the engine.
It is in a craft bag.
Use a domino to connect the MPPT board output cables of the MPPT board and the connector.
Caution: Do not use the transformer's 230V terminal block to make the connection.
Then connect the pods to the batteries.
It is possible when closing the circuit, when connecting the last pod, that a spark appears at the pod. This is a normal phenomenon.
