Installation of a STYRKA 310 engine

Installation of a STYRKA 310 engine

You will discover in this tutorial the installation recommendations, as well as the steps to follow to properly install a Styrka 310 engine and equivalent on your portal.

Pré-requis du portail

Prerequisites

Portal

The STYRKA 310 engine is able to operate a gate consisting of one or two flaps, a maximum length of which does not exceed 2.50 m, in the case of a light and perforated gate. In case of a semi-yloid and heavy gate, the size of the be smaller.

The beats can be asymmetrical (of different size) as long as the largest of the boasts does not exceed the limit size supported by the engine.

It is not recommended to install this engine on a full gate.

The gate must be equipped with a reinforcing point, on which the motorization will cling.

The portal must be stable and balanced (do not open or close alone without external action).

The portal must open and close in a flat manner.

The portal must open towards the inside of the property, for its two beats.

Its maximum aperture angle should not be less than 60°.

Pré-requis du pilier

Pillar

The pillar must have a sufficient size to properly accommodate the fastening tab of the engine.

The pillar should not be rounded on the face receiving the fixing tab of the motorization.

The materialized distance B will depend on distance D (see Table Step 1 Measurement on the pillar).

You will find in the image the minimum and maximum distances to which the tab can be fixed (with D=0 cm and D=19 cm).

The pillar must be clean and dry and free of possible fasteners of an old engine model.

Pré-requis de l'environnementThe'

The environment

It is imperative to have a lateral safety clearance between the open portal and any fixed part of the environment.

The ground must be straight and regular. The portal should not rub against the ground.

The engine is not compatible with sloping, up or downward inputs.

The installation of ground abutmentFixesandPermanentesisObligatoryin opening and closing.

Pré-requis installation du portail sur le pilier

Installation of the portal on the pillar

The depth of installation of the portal compared to the internal face of the pillar is important. We call it distance D.

This cannot be less than 0 cm (negative distance) and cannot exceed 19 cm.

On this distance will depend on the installation distance B of the tab on the pillar (see prerequisites of the pillar).

If you have the option to adjust the installation depth of the portal, take care to choose a location that allows you to have a distance B compatible with the width of your pillar.

In case of distance D negative or greater than 19 cm, it will be necessary to change your pillar.

In the closed position, the gate must be parallel to the rear face of the pillar on which the pillar fixing tab will be installed.

Installations INTERDITES

Facilities INTERDITES

It is strictly forbidden to install the pistons on the outside of the gate (street side).

It is strictly forbidden to install engines more than 1.50 m high.

It is strictly forbidden to install the electronic box on a mobile part of the portal.

Installations non recommandées

Non-recommended facilities

It is not possible to install the pillar fixing tab on a enclosure wall perpendicular to the gate.

It is not possible to install the pillar fixing tab on the same face as the gate gonds.

It is not possible to install the piston on an unarmed part of the gate.

If the size of your pillars does not allow you to respect distance B, it will not be possible to install the engine.

Les risques

Risks

A gate motorization is installed according to well-defined mounting distances, allowing it optimal and secure operation. If the motors are not installed according to the data in the table below, your motorization risks:
- not to properly train the beaters (low opening angle, obstacle detections identified by the card, erratic operation, etc.),
- not to keep the beats closed correctly,
- destruction of one or more constituent elements of the engine
- not to comply with the values defined by standard NF-EN 12453 and to cause significant material or bodily damage.

Any non-compliant installation resulting in malfunction, destruction or premature wear of the appliance may not be supported under the warranty.
No technical assistance will be provided by Avidsen until the installation of the engine is brought into compliance.

Step 1: Measurement on the pillar

Measure distance D (see Pre-recise installation of the portal on the pillar).

Refer to the table to know the distance B (distance between the middle of the fixing tab and the gonds) (See Pillar prerequisites).

Step 2: Taking into account height

Assemble the two elements of the fixing tab. The point of fixing the piston to these tabs must be at the same height as the middle of the reinforcing point of the gate.

Make sure the level of the paw and mark the location of the holes to be drilled.

Step 3: Fixing the tab on the pillar

Mark the location of the holes in the pillar by ensuring that the pillar fixing tab is mounted well horizontally at the end. Use shooters of 10 or any other fixing system suitable for the pillar material.

Be careful, the forces on the fixing tab will be significant when the motorization is running. We recommend sealing threaded rods with a length of at least 15 cm. If the pillar is made of metal, we recommend welding or passing through the threaded rods to fix them with self-locking nuts.
Consult a professional in case of doubt.

Step 4: Mounting of the piston on the pillar

Position the piston rear fork on the tab, in position the washers above (pink) and below (red) of the tab.

Insert the stud (green) and lock with the pin (brown)

Be careful the provided do not have the same length. Make sure you have used the longest at this stage.

Step 5: Tube deployment

  1. Unscrew the engine rod by hand to get it out to the end.
  2. Make a mark on the inner tube 20 mm from the outer tube
  3. Turn the inner tube by 20 mm using the marker marked above; bring the tube
until the brand disappears, but no more

Step 6: Positioning of the gate fixing tab

Position the piston front fork on the gate fastening tab.

Insert the stud (orange) and lock with the pin (marron)

Be careful the provided do not have the same length. Make sure you have used the shortest at this stage.

Step 7: Fixing on the portal

Close the portal and plate the fixing tab on the transverse bar of the portal and checking that the
engine is well horizontal, then mark the location of the two holes to be drilled in the gate.

When the holes are drilled, disassemble the gate fastening tab of the engine by removing the pin.

Attach the paw to the portal usingthrough screws.

It is strongly not recommended to use self-drilling screws, rivets or inserts.

Reassemble the motor and gate fixing tab.

Step 8: 2nd Piston

Perform exactly the same operation for the second engine.
