You will discover in this tutorial the installation recommendations, as well as the steps to follow to properly install an ORANE engine on your portal for an outward opening. |
The ORANE motorization is able to operate a gate composed of one or two beats, the maximum length of which does not exceed 2.5 m, in the case of a light and perforated gate. In case of a semi-yloid and heavy gate, the size of the be smaller.
The beats can be asymmetrical (of different size) as long as the largest of the boasts does not exceed the limit size supported by the engine.
The gate must be equipped with a reinforcing point, on which the motorization will cling.
The portal must be stable and balanced (do not open or close alone without external action).
The portal must open and close in a flat manner.
The portal can open towards the inside or outside of the property
Its maximum aperture angle should not be less than 40°.
The pillar must have a sufficient size to properly accommodate the fastening tab of the engine.
The pillar should not be rounded on the face receiving the fixing tab of the motorization.
You will find in the image the minimum width of the pillar
The pillar must be clean and dry and free of possible fasteners of an old engine model.
It is imperative to have a lateral safety clearance between the open portal and any fixed part of the environment.
The ground must be straight and regular. The portal should not rub against the ground.
The engine is not compatible with sloping, up or downward inputs.
The installation of ground abutmentFixesandPermanentesisObligatoryin opening and closing.
The depth of installation of the portal compared to the internal face of the pillar is important. We call it distance D.
For outdoor opening, this distance must be between 0 cm and 10 cm maximum.
It is strictly forbidden to install the engines on the outer side of the gate (street side).
It is strictly forbidden to install engines more than 1.50 m high.
An articulated arm motorization is positioned as close as possible to the point of rotation of the gate (gond), so that the arms can be fixed as far as possible to the gate.
Position the fixing tab so that the engine block is flushing the edge of the pillar.
If you have a gate with large leaflets, you may consider laying the floss of the pillar so that the engine protrudes slightly on the entrance.
Mark the location of the holes in the pillar by ensuring that the pillar fixing tab is mounted well horizontally at the end. Use shoots or any other fastening system suitable for the pillar material.
Be careful, the forces on the fixing tab will be significant when the motorization is running. We recommend sealing threaded rods with a length of at least 15 cm. If the pillar is made of metal, we recommend welding or passing through the threaded rods to fix them with self-locking nuts.
Consult a professional in case of doubt.
Place the engine on the fastening tab and assemble as described in the image opposite.
Assemble the arm and position it on the motor shaft as shown opposite.
Be careful not to tighten the joints (coude and wrist) of the arm.
Disconnect the engine by turning the BTR key counterclockwise.
Open the portal to side stops.
Turn the articulated arm to press the gate fixing against the gateas far as possible from the gonds.
Demonstrate the gate of the arm to be able to attach it to the gate.
Use screws and nuts suitable for the portal material.
Assemble the end of the arm and the gate attachment.
Clutch the engine by rotating the BTR key clockwise.
NOTE: For a first installation, we recommend leaving the beats half-open before packing them.
Perform exactly the same operation to install the second engine block.
