104717 - Universal Remote Control Programming

Please find below a tutorial to help with programming your universal remote control on your portal automation

Programming your remote control will be done in 2 steps.
Make sure you have the original remote control of your gate automation as well as the universal remote control nearby

Step 1: Copy the radio signal from the original remote control

  1. Press and let the 1st button (top left) on the universal remote control.
  2. Immediately afterwards, press the 2nd button 4 times (top left).
  3. Release the button, the red light should flash slowly.


  1. While the Avidsen remote control LED flashes, holdPress and hold the duplicate button from the original remote control untilwhat the LED of the universal remote control starts flashingquickly.

  1. Without releasing the button to copy, press the button on theUniversal remote control on which you want to remember the code.
In our example, we used the button at the top left. A brief press on it will emit a radio signal identical to the original remote control.


  1. The operating indicator of the universal remote controlturns on fixed for a second, then turns off.
  2. The copy isfinished.


Step 2: Programming the remote control on automation

The programming procedure will depend on the model of the engine as well as its make.
Here are some examples of programming.


Avidsen portal engine

Card AVLO

  1. Press "-", L1 lights up.
  2. Press OK, L1 and L4 light up alternately.
  3. Within 10 seconds, press theRemote control button to remember.
  4. If all red LEDs light up for 1Second = the memorization went well.
  5. If the red LEDs all light up by flashing3 times = the system exceeded 10 secondsWaiting without receiving anythingValid, start programming again.


CA2B9 card

  1. Press "-" › L1 lights up.
  2. Press SET, L1 and L5 light alternately.Within 10 seconds, press the remote control button to remember.
  3. If the red LEDs all light up for 1 second = the storage went well.
  4. If the red LEDs all light up by flashing 3 times = the system has exceeded 10 seconds waiting withoutreceive something valid › Repeat programming.


CAME portal engine

  1. Open the caseof the receiver. It is usually close to your engine.
  2. Once your receiver is open, spot the programming button
  3. Press the button on your universal remote control and the buttonof your receiver
  4. Release the buttons.
  5. Your remote control is programmed.


Portal engine SOMFY

  1. Press and hold the "POWER" button on the electronic box for 2 seconds. The Power light comes on.
  2. Place the universal remote control on the target present on the electronic enclosure.
  3. Press briefly press (<0.5s) button on the remote control that will drive the engine opening/closing. The RADIO light comes on during pressing and then turns off when you release the button.
  4. The remote control is stored in total open/closure control.
